Cinder is back and trying to break out of prison―even though she'll be the Commonwealth's most wanted fugitive if she does―in this second installment from Marissa Meyer.
Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit's grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn't know about her grandmother, or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother's whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana
BBreview:
The second book in the Lunar Chronicles is about Scarlet also known as Little Red Ridding Hood. Who sets off with a mysterious man named Wolf to find her Grandmother that has been kidnapped by Lunar warriors who work for the Lunar Queen.
Cinder has just escaped prison with a guy who she ran upon by mistake but ends up having a ship and becoming a good friend. As she travels she is heading to find Scarlet's Grandmother even though she is not sure why. Once there Cinder finds out things she never thought possible....Pictures of herself as a small burnt girl getting turned into a cyborge to save her life. She also finds out that this Grandmother has a chip just like the one Cinder had on herself to fight off the Lunar power.
I do believe that "Wolf" could have been portrayed a little better than what i saw in this book. I felt like his chatacter features have been done before and well a better name could have been used beside "Wolf" Even though we find out that he is not good at all but being controled and is an evil person bent on finding out why Scarlets Grandmere can resist the Lunar powers and where she hid Princess Selene who is also aka Cinder.
I liked this book but then again I didn't. I didn't like the fact that Cinder was barely in the story and it was a go between from Cinder and Scarlets story when I was under the impression that they would have met sooner than the last three pages of the book. The book however stayed insteresting throughout the end and I enjoyed it. I give this book 4.5 stars, It could have been a little better but then again it was still good.
I also recommend this book to all Lunar Chronicle fans who want to see what happened to Cinder and the friends they meet a long the way.
