Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably. Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one. We have bared our deepest, ugliest secrets to one another. Gideon is the mirror that reflects all my flaws ... and all the beauty I couldn't see. He has given me everything. Now, I must prove I can be the rock, the shelter for him that he is for me. Together, we could stand against those who work so viciously to come between us. But our greatest battle may lie within the very vows that give us strength. Committing to love was only the beginning. Fighting for it will either set us free ... or break us apart.

What can I say about these books.....In the beginning of this series I was in love with Eva, she was a single woman who moved to New York with her friend Cary to persue a career and be her own person. When Eva met Gideon it was an instant love story, one for the ages and I was hooked. When they got married in book four I was ok with it....but that book turned out to be a BIG huge waste.
Now we're on book five of the Crossfire series and the question I posted before reading the book was....."What makes this book any different from the last screw up she had published?" Well reader's I have to say this....absolutly nothing at all has changed between this book and the last book written. Here we are after a years wait and the story line is STILL the same as the last book. Eva is a raging jealous BITCH who went from being independent and loveable to being a hard core spoiled rich bitch. Gideon is still a control freak a i got to know everything about you and where are you at all times, which a couple of times in this book i saw him as an abuser and less as a lover this is all thanks to how Day was writing his character.
The constant bickering between these two was chapter after chapter, I mean by the third chapter I have already forgotten what this fight was about or how it started and I would have to start all over to try and remember who eva pissed off to get this one started. This book was supposed to be an erotic sex book and instead it turned into a marriage counsel for the idiots who got married after only three months of dating.
Gideon and Eva had so much drama in this book that they had people pressing charges against them left and right. Day really screwed up this book I mean she should have ended after the 3rd book came out that would have been better than wasting so many people's time and money on something so stupid.
As I looked at other reviewers and talked to other blogger's about how to go about writing this review for this book it hit us all....Day must be forcing herself to continue this series for the simple fact that she is competing with some other author. If you are looking for a movie deal then I just have to say keep looking because these books are so bad I don't see anyone wanting to put money into a movie that's all about marriage counseling after three months.
I on the other hand do need to tell readers not to waste the money on this book. none of my stores nor library even has this book because of the horrible reviews on it and bad ratings. I mean Day if this is not clear enough that you need to stop writing this book then I don't know maybe you cannot read after all.
