Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly erotic, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force—a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses. It is a novel only Anne Rice could write.

I am sure many people remember this movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise as two scary vampires along with Antonio Garcia (Heart melt)
But how many can say they have read the book? I never knew their was a book (shows how much I know) until I went to buy other books by Anne Rice and I just happened to see this one and fell in love.
Here much like the movie we have Brad Pitt confessing to a mortal the troubles of being a Vampire. And let me tell you if you have seen the movie it is hard not to have that small voice in your head read this book back to you in Brad Pitts silky smooth vampire voice.
He tells us the details of becoming a vampire and living with Lestat of killing the poor little Claodia to have her brought back as a Vampire also and their struggle to kill and hid from Lestat later on and their journey to find more vampires just like them somewhere out in the world.
Once you start reading this book it is clearly very hard to put it down much less stop reading it for anyone else. I was in love by the first part and wanting to know more about Brad Pitt's Vampire side.
This is a good read if you are looking to see what real people thought of vampires as not these shiny little pretty boys.
I recommend this book for all ages because it was just that good.
