This book was pretty good and it had a very good twist ending to it as well. I rated this book five stars on good reads and I am recommending it to everyone looking for a good mystery with a twist of drama.
Characters
Rachael is a divorced alcoholic who still believes her ex husband will take her back. She lost her job but still takes the train in London as though she is going to work. On this ride she passes her old house and another one number 23 in this house is a couple she believes is perfect in every way. She names them and makes up imaginary stories in her head about them while always staying drunk so in the beginning she makes the story kind of depressing to the point that you want to put the book down but don't.
Anna and Tom
Tom is Rachael's ex-husband who cheated on her with his now new wife Anna who has moved into Rachael's house and taken over being the perfect wife. Giving Tom the perfect little baby girl and always believing they are the IT couple. Tom is always picking Rachael back up when she is drunk as if he still wants her. But Anna doesn't like this at all and threatens to go to the police all the time.
Megan and Scott live at number 23 Megan is also depressed after her gallery closed down she spent her days at home until she became a nanny for two months for Tom and Anna Scott wanted kids but Megan was too scared too so she goes to see a therapist and begins having an affair with him then one night she disappears and only one person knows about the affair drunk Rachael who the police believe is unreliable with what she witnessed.
Rachael races around trying to always stay in the loop of what is happening and trying to remember what happened the night Megan dissapered.
The author gives us or me four suspects.
Scott
Mystery guy on the train
Kamal the therapist
And one other I won't name
End the end when Rachael does find out who the killer is she has a hard choice of being killed herself or killing the killer.
