Lemony Snicket, A series of Unfortunate Events

A series of Unfortunate events is a series of more than 13 children's books following the lives of three orphaned children after their parents violent death in a fire. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are on a journey to find a new family and a safe place to live....But their journey is not so safe...They must endure Count Olaf--the man who killed their parents, has a tattoo of an eye on his ankle, and is a master of hiding his identity from all he encounters.

If I am correct the first book was released back in 1999 and so on since then. I believe I was about 8-10 when I began reading these books and I like many most kids began loving books after reading these. I used to sit up for hours reading them and laughing at them. I could never get enough. I believe these books are good for Y.A. Children and teens, I still every now and then still read them or to my nieces and nephews because we all find them enjoyable.

Back in 2004 Most of you can remember the movie starring Jim Carrey as Count Olaf in the movie A series of Unfortunate Events. When I first heard of this movie coming out I begged my mother to take me to see it and I got my Wish, I among countless others who followed the books sat and watched as the movie made somewhat of a mockery in my opoin of the beloved books.

Jim Carrey is a great actor and Comedian However I did not find him funny or great in this movie. His characters in the book is more series and dangerous, However in the movie he makes Olaf seem funny and dim witted. I believe this is why the movie did not sale as good in the box office nor why I never really heard anything else about it in the end.

After this sad movie came out I went back to reading the books to finish with them. I put the movie past me and kept on reading. I was not disappointed. In the last book I was excited and happy! These books would be hard to replace.

If you are a Netflix Person then by now you know that on January 13, 2017 A new series of Unfortunate Events Will be coming out. with New actors as the beloved characters we know from the book. I have only seen the trailers and small pictures of this new show coming out and for now I am not impressed with it BUT then again I have not seen it yet.

Who will our New Count Olaf be??? I am happy to say that Jim Carrey Will NOT be playing this time! Instead we all know him as Barney from How I Met Your Mother T.V. show.....

He is somewhat of a comedian but I also believe he can be series when the time is needed.

Maybe even a good Count Olaf?!?!

So As I have said before, Tune in on January 13th for your first glimpes at the new unfortunate events. As well as My review on the new show...Will it be the same or will it be different. Can Count Olaf be the series character from the book that we want or will he be another comedian in the making.
