We are back from the 5th wave with the second installment to the series by Rick Yancey.

In this second book we get a closer view at

Ben aka zombie

Cassie

Poundcake the boy who never talks

Ringer aka Marika who loves chess and believes she's a badass

Teacup

Dumb boy with big ears

And Evan walker aka alien gone good

So in the end of the last book we all believed that Evan was killed when he blew up commander vosche army base which is actually the alien headquarters.

While Cassie her small brother and zombies recruits are hiding in a hotel Evan shows back up beaten and broken but he's not the only one. These aliens mean business and they have turned the smaller kids into IED weapons. When breathed on close enough with CO2 they blow up. We don't know if this is the 5th wave or not.

So ringer goes off to see about finding them a new place to stay but ends up accidentally shooting teacup and having them. Both captured by vosche. Where ringer is then upgraded into an alien weapon machine and I mm not sure what happened with teacup because I lost interest in ringers story.

Also Ben aka zombie has turned into a class one ass. Always fighting Cassie on killing Evan. Evan is always crying like an emotional baby and Cassie is the same way. I liked it better when this book didn't have a main character but now the story focuses on a love triangle between Cassie Ben and Evan like all books seems to do after the first one is made popular.

So I give this book 3.4 stars recommended sure if you can get over the drama with Ben and Evan then yeah read it. But you might not like it I know I didn't and this time I stayed away from the reviews.
