Glass sword book two by Victoria Aveyard 

Contains spoilers. Rating 3/5 stars We first met mare barrow in the red queen by Victoria aveyard. Now we are back with mare again in the second installment with glass sword. After being called killers and traitors, made and prince cal are rescued by the scarlet guard and taken to a hidden island where cal is treated like a prisoner and mare is left in the dark. However mare does come to find out that her older brother shade is alive and is also a new blood like she is. Cal, mare, kilorn, Farley, and shade set out to find more new bloods. Cal and mare have one shared goal....Kill king maven and his mother Elara. I found this book really hard to stay into. Some parts I was skipping over completely because they made no sense and didnt really feel like they needed to be added into the story at all. I didn't like mares attitude after she killed elara finally. However sadly I am still rooting for maven to become good again and be with her. I don't like cal at all. Kiloton still pisses me off with his attitude. But it was cool meeting new characters with similar abilities as mare and her brother shade. I don't feel like Farley and shade should have been together if shade was going to end up being killed off in the second book. I do recommend this book but it's really not a must read for me right now.
